Oversee the planning, development, and supervision for the aquatics program at the Veterans Park Community Center indoor pool and the Aquatic Complex on Hwy 321. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises a comprehensive multi-generational aquatics program Supervises, motivates, and leads a large professional staff/team Ensures excellent customer service at all times Prepares revenue/expense budgets, and operational plans for the indoor and outdoor pools Supervises aquatics program development, scheduling, implementation and evaluation to accomplish optimum use of the facility and dedicated resources, while meeting established goals and objectives Works closely with Program Director, Community Center Director, Concessions Manager, Marketing Director, Fitness Manager and Front DeskSupervisor to ensure Aquatics performance supports the operational goals of the facility Organizes and supervises Cabot Piranhas Swim Team and swim team staff Schedules, supervises, and evaluates full time, part time, seasonal, and volunteer staff Assists in planning and coordinating citywide parks and recreational special events Maintains records of receipts and disbursements of payments for contractual employees;performs necessary bookkeeping Researches new programs to generate revenue for the department Maintains lifeguard and WSI Certifications and holds in-service trainings for staff Perform any other related duties as required or assigned Qualifications

Minimum of five years’ experience in recreation; or equivalent combination of education and experience Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Instructor (LGI/WSI) or willing to obtain a LGIT and WSIT cerfication Red Cross Certified Lifeguard CPR/First Aid Certified Degree in Recreation Administration/Management or Leisure Services Preferred Certified Parks and Recreation Professional and Certified Pool Operator/Aquatic Facility Operator Preferred
