Civil Water/Wastewater/Water Resource Project Manager

We have a career opportunity for an experienced Professional Engineer and Project Manager with experience in water, wastewater, stormwater, and/or water resources engineering. This position will be responsible for advancing a growing service line at Benesch focused on providing civil infrastructure services for a variety of clients. The ideal candidate will have relevant technical expertise and an interest in furthering their career focused on project management, business development, technical project delivery, value engineering, and staff management, mentoring, and development.
Location

This position will have a hybrid work schedule and, when in the office, will work from our Omaha, NE or Bellevue, NE office.
The Impact You Will Have
  • Project Management, developing and maintaining client relationships, and overall business development to advance company initiatives
  • Developing detailed designs of water/wastewater collection/distribution and treatment systems, stormwater systems, and/or water resource management including site layouts, plans, and specifications
  • Supporting value engineering, planning studies and alternative analysis to determine best solutions to meet compliance and client goals
  • Preparation of permit and grant application submittals
  • Working with various disciplines to integrate functional, detailed, and sustainable designs of various infrastructure enhancements
  • Collaborating with team members, communities, and stakeholders to define data needs, project requirements, and outputs or to develop applications
What You Will Need
  • Proficient basic knowledge of the principals of one or more of the following: sanitary and/or storm sewer collection and distribution systems, water treatment and distribution systems, MS-4 compliance, or hydrologic and hydraulics modeling
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Professional Engineering License in Nebraska or the ability to obtain licensure by comity or examination upon hire
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
  • Project experience in water/wastewater collection, distribution and/or treatment design (preferred)
  • Project experience in hydrologic and hydraulics modeling (preferred)
  • Project experience in MS-4 compliance or erosion and sediment pollution control design (preferred)
