Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer

What does a Junior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer do?

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of Fiserv's Enterprise Payments Solutions (EPP) product portfolio. The Enterprise Payments Solutions (EPP) provides best-in-class payments and liquidity management solutions that enable banks to simplify their infrastructure and deliver effective digital transformation. Solutions are available on premise or in the cloud, scalable up and down, across functional and volume needs and offer unrivalled customer and segment personalization. All are based on a single real-time architecture, providing flexibility for a bank in setting the pace of its modernization.

This position involves collaborating closely with EPP project and engineering teams to develop automation along with test plans, cases. You will ensure quality assurance throughout the entire development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, manual and automated testing, and post-delivery support.

What You Will Do

Analyze requirements and technical documents to define the scope and strategy for testing. Learn, master and eventually take ownership of the internally developed test automation framework. Develop and executing test plans, cases, and scripts for technical testing, including manual UI testing for system testing. Design, build, and maintain test data sets and libraries for efficient testing. Log, track, and manage issues throughout their lifecycle using JIRA. Manage test environment usage, including coordinating with the release management and admin teams, for all changes to the test environment during test execution (e.g., new code builds, patches, upgrades, etc. Facilitate communication and coordination among system, development staff, and business teams to ensure effective testing and adherence to established quality processes and guidelines.

What You Will Need To Have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technology, or equivalent experience 1 to 3 years of QA Engineering experience on technology projects At least 1 years of experience with automation testing and automation scripting. Proficient with some of these automation tools - Jstorm, Selenium, Cucumber Some understanding of quality assurance principles, techniques and tools.

What Would Be Great To Have

Knowledge of the Financial, Banking sector, specifically Payments Systems. Experience testing within an Agile development environment. Proven experience with defect tracking applications (JIRA preferred). Working knowledge of Java and J2EE fundamentals. Working knowledge of XML and scripting language (JavaScript preferred) Strong data testing – SQL database query tools. Possesses a positive, quality-oriented, reliable, and flexible attitude. Ability to hit the ground running with strong business acumen.

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, New York or Washington.
