We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team at the Torrance facility This is a position where you will be responsible for maintaining the company's quality management systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet our standard and your work will directly impact the satisfaction of our customers. This role requires a candidate who is a problem-solver, detail-oriented, and passionate about continuous improvement.

Your Role at Prestone

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team at Prestone Torrance. This is a position where you will be responsible for maintaining the company's quality management systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet our standard and your work will directly impact the satisfaction of our customers. This role requires a candidate who is a problem-solver, detail-oriented, and passionate about continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

Maintain a formal quality improvement program, including supporting methodology, tools and training materials with a continuous improvement mind set.

Assess critical-to-quality gaps, determine root causes, build business cases for improvement opportunities, and implement control procedures to measure and monitor results.

Support global IATF qualifications, documentation and reporting requirements.

Investigates and manages non-conforming batches and finished products.

Provides technical assistance to other departments, suppliers and customers as needed.

Provide training and support to the production team on quality control procedures and standards.

Builds relationships with business leaders to understand business objectives and priorities, and to collaboratively identify quality improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field/experience

5 years Quality experience.

Strong leadership, ability to work in a highly collaborative and driven team environment.

Working knowledge of various solid/liquid testing equipment

Proven computer skill set including Microsoft Office.

Quality Core Tools (PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D CAR)

Good organizational, verbal, written communication, and listening skills. Ability to accurately communicate complex information to a wide variety of people.
