Job DescriptionOrange County Veterinary Specialists is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our highly respected, 24-hour emergency and specialty practice in Tustin, California.We have been serving the Orange County community for more than 10 years We are primarily a critical care and internal medicine-focused practice, located in a collaborative campus of other specialties, including but not limited to: oncology, neurology, radiation oncology, dermatology, dentistry and ophthalmology. Our two-story, 7,500-sq.ft. facility was recently remodeled and features all the imaginable bells and whistles. Amenities include six exam rooms, two surgical suites and a large treatment room. Available equipment includes anesthetic and mechanical ventilators, diagnostic and portable ultrasounds, oxygen cages and endoscopy towers (flexible and rigid video scopes as well as laparoscopy and arthroscopy). In addition, the practice uses both digital radiograph and has a fluoroscopy (portable C-arm).Laboratory equipment includes in-house CBC, in-house chemistry, Nova (electrolytes and blood gas) and colloid osmometer. Intensive care monitoring capabilities include recently upgraded pulse oximetry with, Capnography (EMMA portable capnographs and stand alone capnography), direct and indirect blood pressure monitoring, CVP monitoring, intra-abdominal pressure monitoring and wireless continuous telemetry. Advanced imaging (CT, MRI and scintigraphy) is also available next door.The hospital fosters a relaxed and collegial atmosphere with a large support staff of 50 employees.
