Summary of the position We seek a motivated, self-starting, passionate team player to join our firm in the role of Client Service Associate. The Client Service Associate is a member of the Client Service organization that includes approximately 50 Client Service Associates located across Sequoia's footprint. The client service associate works with Advisors to support the day to day needs of our clients. Responsibilities This position will support a team of Financial Advisors who provide financial plans for our clients that enable them to achieve their retirement goals. Responsibilities to include but not limited to:Daily processing of client and advisor requests including new accounts, transfer of assets, money movements, meeting scheduling and preparationProactively supporting advisors by anticipating client needs and enabling advisors to maximize their timeProviding excellent client service by performing tasks timely, accurately and with clear communication to the clientDemonstrating professional communication skills with responses to clients, advisors, and team members by phone, email, and written communicationsUsing problem solving skills to create solutions for clients and advisorsCoordinating with our custodians and internal team members to follow up on and execute operational items in a timely mannerMonitoring and resolving daily time sensitive activitiesUtilizing internal contact management system for documentation of client data, tasks, financial accounts and policy adherenceOperating in a team-based environment where teammates help each other in times of heavy workload and are all working toward meeting the needs of the clientRequirementsRequired Skills/Experience Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a client service role in the financial services industryMinimum 2-3 years of demonstrated project management skillsAbility to learn and become proficient in a process-driven fast-paced work environmentExcellent oral and written communication with a professional demeanorRobust PC knowledge, typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Skills/Experience Experience working daily with a workflow technology systemExperience in financial services industry Prior experience with financial industry CRM a plus (Ex: Salesforce, Tamarac, eMoney, etc.)Prior experience with Schwab and Fidelity a plusPrior experience with DocuSign a plusBachelor's degree preferred Competencies Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to handle multiple priorities and requests from advisors and clientsPersistence in follow up to accomplish objectivesInteract with co-workers and clients with a resilient, positive attitude. Reaching out to others if help is needed.Conduct oneself with great emotional intelligence
