The Junior DBA will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations and management of an enterprise-level development, testing and production database management systems. This role will need to be able to deploy, configure, manage, and test installations, upgrades, replication, backup and recovery of current databases.

Work with our innovative software solutions that help local government and school districts centralize data and connect their organizations. By working to develop and support our financial management solutions, you can help integrate our solutions with human resources, revenue management, tax billing, and asset management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual as well as scheduled/automated backups and restores of Production and non-production databases.
  • Utilize industry standard tools, cloud service provider native portals and features, and/or other third-party client approved tools necessary to provide operations, maintenance, and migration support services.
  • Ability to write database queries for MSSQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL
  • Support day-to-day operations and management of an enterprise-level development, testing and production database management systems.
  • Data integrity management
  • Performance monitoring
  • Work with development teams on findings based on monitoring the database.
  • Manage replication, backup, and recovery of current databases, provide incident support and analysis services, provide log and error reporting information to colleagues, customer, and support organizations as necessary to resolve user impacting issues.
  • Helps to create and maintain documentation for cloud database operations in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Participates in after business hours and weekend maintenance and on-call rotation is required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, software engineering, or similar degree, or comparable work experience
  • 3 + years' of experience as a DBAMS SQL and/or Oracle preferred; PostgreSQL can also be utilized
  • Motivated and curious, with a drive to provide quick and professional service
