Join TrustPoint and Build the Worlds First Commercial GPS System in Space

Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), such as GPS, are a ubiquitous global utility in modern society; knowing ones location is critical for government, commercial, and personal applications.

Still, todays solutions for determining location are inaccurate, slow, unencrypted, and susceptible to jamming and spoofing. These shortcomings make GPS insufficient for tomorrows safety-critical and high-precision applications, a problem TrustPoint intends to solve.

TrustPoint is developing a fully commercial next-generation GPS service to provide significant performance, security and reliability improvements for GPS users. This includes better accuracy, quicker Time to First Fix, and anti-spoof and anti-jam capabilities. The improvements will support US Government position and timing service resiliency as well as enable next-generation commercial applications like drone delivery, self-driving cars, urban air mobility, and augmented reality. The $55B annual GNSS Receiver market is ripe for disruption and TrustPoint intends to lead that revolution with our commercial infrastructure and services.

The Position

With locations near Dulles, Virginia and in Silicon Valley, TrustPoint is currently seeking a Program Manager to play a pivotal role in our mission by leading the coordination efforts between our organization, the U.S. Government customer, internal stakeholders, and technical teams. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program lifecycle, from defining product requirements to delivering prototype hardware, software, and firmware that align with product objectives. Your expertise in the Aerospace and Defense sector, coupled with your experience organizing teams and working with the U.S. Government customer, will culminate in the success of on-time, on-budget product delivery.

We'll Expect You To...

Interface effectively with the U.S. Government customer to understand their needs, expectations, and priorities.

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery of program milestones.
Coordinate design and development activities, ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
Facilitate test and verification events to validate product performance and functionality, addressing any discrepancies or issues that arise.
Identify and mitigate risks throughout the program lifecycle, implementing appropriate risk management strategies to minimize impact.
Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on program status, milestones, and deliverables.
Drive the resolution of technical challenges and conflicts, leveraging your expertise to find innovative solutions while maintaining project scope.
Coordinate, prepare, review, and submit deliverables to the customer in accordance with contract requirements.

You'll Need to Have...

A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense sector, with a proven track record of success in program management roles.
Extensive experience working with the U.S. Government on RDT&E activities, including familiarity with government contracting processes, expectations, and regulations.
Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
Demonstrated proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with a focus on driving results and exceeding customer expectations.
A Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees and professional certifications are a plus.
A working knowledge of space-based RF detection and geolocation technologies, including familiarity with relevant systems and protocols.

We'd Like to See...

Experience leading programs involving the development of space-based systems or payloads, with an emphasis on satellite communications or remote sensing applications.
Familiarity with microsatellite platforms, embedded devices, and RF technologies.
Familiarity with GNSS Receiver platforms, architectures, and processing methods.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools, such as JIRA or Kanban boards, and experience adapting traditional project management approaches to Agile environments.
Previous experience managing programs with classified or sensitive information, including familiarity with security clearance processes and procedures.

If you are a dynamic and results-oriented leader with a passion for driving innovation in the Aerospace and Defense sector, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. Join us in shaping the future of technology and making a meaningful impact on national security and space exploration.

Effective communication style that instills a culture of optimism and positivity.
Sense of humor and ability to proactively problem solve.
Encourages colleagues to think and plan strategically while executing tactically.
Works well with all company levels and disciplines (i.e. Legal, HR, etc.).
Willing to roll up sleeves in a new venture, working closely with colleagues.
Ability to work a hybrid schedule.
