The ClaimCenter team is searching for an experienced Senior Business Analyst. Claims IT is responsible for supporting and enhancing the ClaimCenter application used by various Great American Business Units.
Responsibilities
A senior analyst with proven experience building enterprise systems and collaborating with multiple teams
Develops enterprise solutions for business customers
Designs, tests, debugs, maintains, and documents software systems components and utilities
Collaborates with other departments on requirements, design, standards, and architecture of applications
Participates in gathering and documenting business requirements and technical design documents
Adheres to standards for software development with emphasis on test-driven development and quality of software
Develops time estimates for project deliverables
Ownership of project timeline and deliverables
Coaching / mentoring junior-level team members on best practices for application development and business analytics
Promotes Agile Scrum development methodology
Qualifications
8-10 years’ experience with collecting requirements and creating business and systems requirements documents (BRD, SRD)
5+ years of SQL experience with the ability to efficiently create complex database queries
Experience interpreting and understanding the business processes captured in process diagrams and lean assessments.
Strong business and technical writing skills
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with application testing and coordinating test strategies with IT Quality Assurance teams
Experience Policy/Claims Process Automation project execution
Agile Scrum development methodology experience
Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization
Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, organize, and plan work to satisfy established timeframes
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Analytical skills, problem-solving, and attention to detail
Experience with webservice testing tools (SoapUI, Postman)
Experience mentoring other team members to develop skills
Prior experience with insurance programs and/or claims handling is a plus
Plus: development experience in Guidewire products like ClaimCenter, BillingCenter
