Reports to: Program Delivery Director
Job Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days from home)
Location: Lenexa, KS
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience in a related industry
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello, JIRA, SmartSheets)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage risks and resolve issues effectively
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements within the industry
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Willingness to travel as required by the project needs
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with management and stakeholders
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Track project milestones and deliverables
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle
- Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendation report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
