Responsibilities: The Rotating Equipment Engineer will collaborate with the engineering team to specify, design, and procure rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and agitators. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in equipment design and specifications. Review vendor proposals and technical documents to ensure they meet project requirements. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies for all rotating equipment to minimize downtime and maximize reliability. Conduct regular inspections, assessments, and condition monitoring of equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures. Analyze equipment failure data to identify trends and root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability. Continuously monitor equipment performance and efficiency, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement. Conduct engineering evaluations and studies to optimize equipment operation, energy consumption, and lifecycle costs. Ensure that all rotating equipment designs, installations, and maintenance activities comply with relevant safety standards, regulations, and company policies. Requirements The Rotating Equipment Engineer will have a BS or MS in mechanical engineering. 5+ years working as a Rotating Equipment Engineer in the chemical, petrochemical, or oil & gas industry. In-depth knowledge of rotating equipment principles, design, operation, and maintenance practices. Proficiency in engineering software and tools for equipment analysis, such as vibration analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues and develop effective solutions. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ANSI) governing rotating equipment design and maintenance. Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
