As a vital member of our team, you will work closely with the Regional Director of Operations to uphold local laws and company labor regulations, while also championing our commitment to excellence in employee relations. Your role will involve providing robust training, coaching, and mentorship to our staff, alongside fostering strong partnerships with key stakeholders to uphold our standards of inclusivity, promote Food at Google expectations, and elevate the employee experience. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around bolstering our People Strategy, spearheading initiatives in Talent Attraction, Talent Development, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Collaborating closely with our Operations team, you'll ensure a conducive work environment, nurture talent retention, and foster rewarding career paths for our employees. This role is based in Seattle, WA The great things you’ll do: Proactively advise managers and employees on conditions of employment, HR policies and processes. Be the local Champion for our Certified Regional Learning & Development Centre (“CRLDC”) program, which supports development of key roles and onboarding regionally. Support the annual performance reviews, ensuring consistent and fair decisions are made in the promotion, bonus and salary increase processes. Ensure any compensation decisions are performance are market driven, in conjunction with the Compass Compensation Team. Develop, as required, tools and training for the managers and employees to enhance collaboration with both the Management and People Operations Business Partners team. Develop a proactive and supportive working culture when dealing with employee issues. Manage people issues as they arise with the operational partners, and advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. complete HR investigations as necessary Analyze employee data and prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment. Complete HR projects for the leadership team, sector corporate office and Compass Group as required. Facilitate in partnership with Recruitment and Talent Management in managing the MyOpportunity system for your region. In partnership with Risk Management and RA Safety Champion, support Safety trainings for the team. Align with corporate to ensure compensation and benefits are targeted at the level necessary to attract, retain and motivate quality people within the relevant comparator market. Proactively identify areas in HR policies, benefits, processes to improve efficiency and increase staff motivation/retention. Participate in the Diversity & Inclusion Action Council (DIAC) as a co-chairperson, actively engaged and driving the Company's DEI initiatives. . Minimum Qualifications Bilingual (Spanish) Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Hospitality Management/Integration, Statistics, or related degree. Master's or legal degree preferred. HRCI or SHRM certification(s) desirable. 3 to 7 years HR experience in a multi-site environment Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and leaders. Ability to work in a team and influence across job functions and company levels. Superb communication skills honed in business partnering/advisory roles. Demonstrated ability to interpret information to make business decisions and recommendations; formulate people strategies within context. Experience in leading teams Passionate about the employee experience and environment. Ability to teach and train various subjects to individuals and small groups. Strong business acumen with basic financial skills, ability to read and understand financial statements and budgets. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to understand and value the perspectives and backgrounds of all parties. Union experience is highly desirable. Strong understanding of employment and labor law.
