Job Summary

The Enrollment Assistant supports the admissions and enrollment process at Roane State Community College, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for prospective and current students. Responsibilities include assisting students with applications, guiding them through registration, and answering inquiries about admissions policies, deadlines, and requirements.

Job Duties
•Access and correctly interpret information in Banner related to admissions/records/financial aid.
•Analyze and problem solve student situations to provide accurate responses.
•Anticipate student needs, always providing the most thorough information.
•Review documents to determine validity and scan, verifying documents are readable and all pages have been included.
•Deal with conflict situations and assist in providing solutions.
•Communicate with students through email, phone and in person conversations.
•Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
•Associate's degree
•Minimum 1-year customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications
•Knowledge of admissions, records and financial aid in college/university setting.
•Ellucian Banner 9 knowledge.
•Experience working in an educational setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•Must possess excellent communication, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
•Must be able to work autonomously, making confident decisions as well as serving as a team player.
•Ability to adapt to change as college and departmental policies and procedures change.
•Proficiency using Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint.
•Ability to accurately communicate information verbally and in writing in a courteous and professional manner.
•Ability to organize and prioritize work appropriately and independently on a daily basis.
