Job Descriptions The Seafood Clerk is responsible for performing duties as directed by the Seafood Manager for the efficient operation of the Seafood Department. The Seafood Clerk is responsible for ensuring all Kennie's customers are provided with the highest quality products and excellent customer service.
Requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: No prior experience required. Training will be provided.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of this organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: None.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Handle and package fresh and frozen seafood items.
Use the steamer to prepare shrimp and other items for customers as requested.
Check on prices for the cashier if something does not scan or is not marked.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department.
Cooperate with fellow department employees and with other departments when inter-departmental or store wide promotions warrant.
Responsible to obey all safety standards as well as loss prevention standards as outlined by the company.
Perform other appropriate duties as directed by the Office Manager, Assistant Office Manager, Cash Office, Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
Adheres to company uniform policy and name badge policy.
