DeBra-Kuempel Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc.EMCOR is the world's leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction and facilities services, including planning, consulting, and operations and maintenance.DeBra-Kuempel combines the expertise of two of the tri-state's oldest and most innovative companies, providing mechanical and electrical services to Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Evansville, Lexington, Louisville, and the surrounding areas.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on heating and cooling equipment in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.This includes installation and startup of multiple types of HVAC equipment.Diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance on existing HVAC/R systems and equipment.Effectively communicate with customers regarding planned tasking, issues, or impacts.Advise the HVAC Service Manager of job progress and material/labor requirements.Order replacement parts as needed.Work with all electrical components from disconnect throughout equipment.Submit reports as required by supervisor.Timely response to emergency service calls during and outside of normal working hours.Accurately and thoroughly document hours worked, tasking performed, materials used, and processes involved.Accomplish tasking working from Job Plans, verbal information, schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, documents, vendor/manufacturer manuals, and applicable specifications and codes.Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and create or revise SOPs as needed.Perform tasking outdoors in environmentally challenging conditions including wind and extreme cold weather.Proactively identify any unsafe conditions or hazards and communicate them effectively.Participate in Work Center Safety Program.Perform other duties as required.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSTo best meet the needs of our organization and customers, the right person will meet the following qualifications:Experience required in HVAC/R mechanic work, including installation and maintenance of heating and air conditioning equipment.Ability to diagnose, maintain, adjust, repair, and replace boiler systems and components.Possess prior computer experience and be able and willing to learn and effectively utilize computer-based technology.Possess the competencies, willingness, and ability to perform the duties of position.EXPECTED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESProficient in electrical safety procedures.Proficient in risk assessment and determination of PPE appropriate to specific tasking.Competent analyzing situations and making technical and safety decisions based on specifications and applicable codes and manufacturer guidelines.Solid decision-making ability and sound judgment to safely and effectively solve problems.Good organizational, communication and planning skills.Strong knowledge in boiler operation and combustion.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCurrent HVAC/R license, (EPA).Experience in commercial and/or industrial facilities. (5 Years Minimum)PHYSICAL AND/OR OTHER REQUIREMENTSWilling and able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum.Willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.High School diploma or equivalent.Valid Driver's License issued in the United States and a good driving record.Notice to prospective employees: There have been fraudulent postings and emails regarding job openings.
