MRB Lead

Job Summary & Responsibilities

Material Review Board and Incoming Quality Control transportation to support movement of material.Responsible for performing the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, picking/packing, storing and distributing of all MRB & IQC material.Responsible for overseeing MRB activities and performance and leading the MRB coordinators to accomplish the productivity goals for the day and establishing a culture of positive employee relations while ensuring all processes, best practices, and policies are adhered to consistently.This role will require the Lead to create a climate in which people want to do their best; empowers others; invites input from each person; makes each individual feel his/her work is important; is someone people like working for and with.Provides daily directions and leadership to the stockroom department material handlers.Delegating and assigning tasks to the material handlers.Ensure that the stockroom is operating under strict good material handling practices.Anticipate, communicate and resolve internal and external issues that could affect the stockroom optimization.Coordinate/lead efforts to improve stockroom operations.Identify operational issues and process improvement opportunities to management, propose solutions.Engage with cross functional groups to facilitate problem resolution and continuous improvements.Accountable for the safe operation of all equipment, including forklifts, hand tools, and other equipment in the operation.Transaction Errors: Responsible for researching and identifying root cause.Inventory control: Research/reconcile end of day cycle count variances.Accountable for ensuring the Stockroom is 5S ready 24x7 and promotes 5S activities to sustain stockroom organization and safety.MRB Lead will immediately document and report to the Stockroom Supervisor or Manager any situation, incident or problems that directly relate to the efficient, complete, and timely dispatch of any and all assigned work.Must investigate and report all accidents and near misses to the Supervisor or Manager in a timely and efficient manner.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or Associates or Bachelors Degree or comparable and relevant industry specific work experience.

Knowledge:

Materials and ERP knowledge and ability to understand the Customer requirements. Previous Oracle Experience preferred.

Skills:

Coordination Skills, Material Expedition Skills, Communication Skills, ERP Skills, Team Skills.

Certified or ability to be forklift certified on all forklift equipment. Ability to successfully train team members.

Experience:

Min 5-7 years of Materials Department experience
