Summary Under general supervision, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for procuring assigned commodities and services required to support ATS business goals. Researches and analyzes supply chain opportunities to obtain the lowest total cost of inventory ownership. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Performs purchasing duties to plan and procure supplies, materials, equipment, and services. Develops RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and sends to prospective suppliers; manages supplier responses and takes appropriate action. Works with the supply?chain department to analyze, recommend, coordinate, and execute purchases that support ATS business goals. Executes purchases for critical goods or services using standard formats for contracts and purchase orders. Plans, evaluates, and procures goods, raw materials and chemicals to maintain adequate inventory levels, increasing production efficiencies and on?time completions. Analyzes planned inventory levels for assigned items and makes recommendations to support current business trends and maximize supply?chain direct margin. Coordinates fabrication, heat treat, and material process requirements in accordance with FAA and OEM directives. Provides order updates to production, internal planning, and overhead department leadership. Expedites purchase orders as required to support ATS customers (internal and external). Works directly with customers as a focal point for material status to keep production on track. Resolves issues pertaining to purchase orders: receiving and invoicing discrepancies and timely closure. Communicates frequently with suppliers to build and maintain positive, long?term relationships ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and delivery targets are met. Oversees suppliers for adherence to contracts on LTA and consignment inventory. Interacts with ATS team members at many levels, up to and including middle management. Assists in training and mentoring purchasing staff. Maintains regular, prompt attendance. Displays effective and appropriate conduct with co?workers. Other Duties Performs other duties as assigned. Some travel may be required. May be required to work extended hours to meet deadlines. Education & Experience Associates degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of purchasing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Effort & Dexterity The employee will be required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and arms, talk or hear, and focus on objects close up. The employee may lift and move up to 10?lb and occasionally up to 25?lb. Compensation The full base pay range for this position is $24.00??$43.00 per hour, not including bonuses or other benefits. Your pay will be based on experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual performance bonus.
