Food and Beverage Director

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Oversee daily operations of all food & beverage outlets, bars, concessions, vendor partners, and hospitality areas.Place all beverage orders (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and dry goods orders; ensure accuracy in quantities, delivery timelines, and cost targets.Review weekly revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), labor reports, and inventory audits to ensure financial targets and performance KPIs are met.Develop, implement, and lead training programs for all F&B management and front-line teams to ensure consistent execution and service quality.Collaborate with Operations, Production, and Executive Leadership to coordinate staffing levels and schedules that meet business demand and ensure proper event coverage.Evaluate F&B team performance, conduct weekly development check-ins, and support performance improvement plans when needed.Create operational strategies, SOPs, checklists, and action plans to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase profitability.Work closely with Procurement to ensure vendor compliance, timely deliveries, cost controls, and product quality.Oversee hiring, recruitment, and onboarding of F&B staff and management teams.Ensure all F&B operations comply with local health codes, safety standards, alcohol regulations, and permitting requirements.Analyze sales and customer feedback trends; prepare reports highlighting issues, outliers, and key recommendations for Executive review.Support event build-outs, festival load-ins, on-site service, and load-outs as needed.Assists with and/or completes additional tasks as assigned.LEADERSHIP QUALITIES EXPECTED FOR THIS POSITION:AccountabilityDevelopment & MentorshipCollaboration & Working RelationshipsSound Judgment & Decision-MakingQuality of WorkExpertise in Job-Related SkillsProductivityDependability & ReliabilityStrong Written and Verbal CommunicationProfessionalism & ManageabilityAppearance & PresentationTeamwork & Staff EngagementGuest Satisfaction & Service ExcellenceEDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma required; Bachelors Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferredProof of eligibility to work in the United StatesValid Drivers License21+ years of ageProfessional, well-groomed appearance requiredAbility to obtain any required health cards, alcohol service permits, or operational certificationsMust be able to travel to all company events, sometimes for extended periods, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules. 65% TravelWORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:Minimum 57 years of experience in food & beverage management, hospitality operations, or large-scale event F&BExperience with inventory software, POS systems, and Microsoft OfficeStrong understanding of cost control, menu engineering, alcohol compliance, and event logisticsSKILLS:Strong problem-solving and operational troubleshooting skillsAbility to lead by example and inspire staffStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to produce operational reports, financial summaries, and SOP documentationPositive and professional attitude at all timesAbility to stay objective, listen empathetically, and lead with respectAbility to remain composed in fast-paced and high-pressure environmentsStrong integrity and dependabilityExceptional organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to meet deadlines and adapt to shifting prioritiesPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must maintain positive energy throughout long workdaysMust be able to read monitors, reports, and inventory systemsMust be able to write and complete documentation legiblyMust be observant and quick to react to operational issuesMust be able to move quickly through venues and event groundsAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periodsMust be able to participate in all service aspects, including bar and food handlingMust be able to twist, push, pull, reach, bend, climb, and carry as neededMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs recblid o7mm7wtd6fcb19plhsplpmcklvd7zm
