Job Summary:

While supporting US operations, the ideal candidate monitors benefit trends in the business environment and stays abreast of applicable benefits legislation impact on organization's benefit programs. He/she maintains accurate employee benefit records including new enrollments and changes in family and employment status changes, conducts COBRA processing/compliance, and provides employees with information regarding benefits programs and assists with open enrollment process and implementation of other benefits programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in developing and managing health and welfare plans, covering areas such as health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
  • Aids in assessing existing company benefits against industry benchmarks and analyzing the implications of new regulations.
  • Compiles detailed cost analyses for employee health and welfare benefits, including calculating annual premiums, employee contributions, and benefit budgets by plan and location.
  • Ensures data accuracy between carriers and the HRIS system, handling tasks such as preparing ACH files for carrier payments and reconciling carrier billing.
  • Manages benefit-related terminations, distributing necessary documents to affected employees and notifying benefit providers accordingly.
  • Coordinates and oversees the COBRA program for designated facilities, issuing initial COBRA notices and ensuring accurate benefit eligibility records.
  • Facilitates benefit enrollment for new hires, as well as for qualified life events and recalls, ensuring accurate record-keeping and communication with benefit providers.
  • Oversees benefit processes through the Third-Party Administrator and HRIS system, including tasks such as verifying dependents' Social Security Numbers and managing healthcare eligibility.
  • Administers the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) policy and coordinates both company-provided and voluntary insurance plans, ensuring smooth enrollment, claims processing, and billing.
  • Conducts new hire benefits orientation sessions and organizes biometric screenings and vaccination programs.
  • Provides ongoing support to employees regarding benefit-related inquiries and claims issues, and takes the lead in promoting employee wellness initiatives.
  • Sets up and maintains benefits tables in HRIS software and acts as a liaison for retiree groups, handling communication and funding matters.
  • Manages the filing and maintenance of employee benefits documents and ensures the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • May provide additional administrative support in other areas of Finance as needed.
