The Custodian is tasked with keeping the facility clean and safe; ensuring that all assignments are completed thoroughly and in a timely manner. Restrooms,

offices and general building cleaning is done on a daily basis to ensure work areas remains free of trash and debris.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

*Work with established cleaning procedures to maintain clean working areas in the facility.

*Clean all building areas, bathrooms, break rooms, cafeteria, lobby, offices, and production areas.

*Inspect and operate equipment needed to clean the building.

*Notify Manager if supply inventory requires replenishment.

**SAFETY:**

*Comply with all standing safety policies and procedures.

*Maintain/practice safety awareness. Work safely and use required safety equipment and/or PPE.

*Complete required annual OSHA and other safety training programs on-schedule and assigned.

*Ensure all machine safety-guards are installed, functioning properly, and in use.

*Maintain a safe work environment by adequate organization and housekeeping of work areas.

*Identify/report safety hazards to the Manager.

*Immediately report all injuries and/or near misses to Manager.

**COMMUNICATION:**

*Able to communicate and cooperate with all staff and co-workers to accomplish assigned tasks.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

**EXPERIENCE:**

One-year cleaning experience in an industrial environment preferred.

**TECHNICAL SKILLS:**

Practical use of equipment needed to clean the the building.
