Case Installation Specialist I

The Case Installation Specialist, working closely with Case Advocates, Sales Executives, Brokers and Carriers, under general supervision, is responsible to apply carrier guidelines and internal procedures to new business census enrollments, run rates in GAIT and on carrier specific systems, data enter employee application information into carrier specific systems, process approvals and declines in GAIT, assemble and close out files for finance approval, respond to telephone and written inquiries and initiate steps to assist callers regarding general issues relating to the submission/approval process. The Case Installation Specialist makes independent decisions within Warner Pacific and carrier guidelines and procedures relative to new business, as well as modifications to existing business.Overview of ResponsibilitiesIn support of maintaining and completing small group and/or large group submissions, the Case Installation Specialist will actively support the Case Advocate from the beginning of a submission to end, including but not limited to the following:Thoroughly transfer enrollment data from paper applications to carrier specific census enrollmentsData enter group and applicant information into GAIT if applicableEnter group and application information into carrier specific systemsRun rates in GAIT and on carrier specific systemsMatch Warner Pacific rates with carrier rates, identifying any discrepanciesAssemble and close out files for finance approvalComplete Approvals/Withdrawals/Declines, and E-Mail/Fax appropriate letters to Broker and Sales Executive within 4 hours of receipt if applicableRespond to e-mails and phone messages within 4 hours at a maximumMaintain current knowledge of carrier guidelines, forms/applications, submission and completion deadlines as it relates to the Case Installation Specialists activitiesMaintain a minimum average of 94% quality for census enrollment audit results on a running quarter basisProvide back up in other areas within the department/company as needed/requestedOther activities as assignedExpected Leadership Qualities Treat all employees and customers fairly and with respect and communicate with other employees consistently in a dignified, positive fashion in order to encourage and achieve maximum performance results while earning respect and admiration of co-workersLead by example and regularly review, understand, and comply with all policies and procedures, including those regarding punctuality, attendance, harassment and discrimination preventionEmbrace change with a positive attitude and motivate others in the department to do the sameDemonstrate consistent, outstanding judgment, honesty and integrity in all aspects of job performanceContinually evaluate work environment identifying areas where assistance is required and opportunities for process improvement existMaintain and foster positive, open communication channels with all affiliated internal service areas (including Sales Executives), Brokers and CarriersAssist internal and external co-workers in skill/knowledge developmentComplete assignments as assigned and on time, unless otherwise agreed toIndependently seek out additional work from current or other departments as time permitsPositively participate in other projects/activities as assignedAdditional Skills and Requirements Must be able to work additional hours beyond regular work schedules as necessary during our peak season to meet commitments to our customers and business needs (including holidays and weekends)Minimum of a High School Diploma; advanced education or degree preferredPrior experience resulting from a combination of education and/or experience that would provide an equivalent background in terms of underwriting assistant knowledge and experience is desiredExcellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to understand and demonstrate the use of computer system, computer programs and office equipment as necessary, including ability to type a minimum of 30-35 wpm and proficiency in the use of a 10 keyAbility to work a minimum of 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, generally with shift start times between 8:00-8:30 a.m., as determined by senior managementAbility to work overtime, holidays and weekends as requested by senior managementHigh level planning, organizing and time management skillsAnalytical skills leading to alternative coverage option considerations, with the same or other carriersNegotiation skillsResults orientedDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve mathematical discrepanciesDemonstrated ability to remain calm in pressure situationsDemonstrated ability to multi-taskCompensation Hourly Range*: $20.44 - $27.26 per hourActual compensation may vary from posting based on work experience, education and/or skill level.* The hourly or salary range is the range Warner Pacific in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
