Commercial Lender at Bank of Zachary

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: To develop new business and generate loan production to facilitate loan portfolio growth with term loans and lines of credit to commercial and small business borrowers, as well as consumer borrowers, meeting the profitability targets of the bank while maintaining asset quality as a priority.

EDUCATION: • Bachelor’s Degree or 7+ year professional equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: • 5+ years in banking, financial services and/or business development. • Sales, business development, underwriting, and/or financial analysis experience preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Maintain a high level of confidentiality. • Reliable transportation necessary. • Current NMLS account.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for originating, expanding, and retaining loan and deposit relationships with individuals, business owners, and real estate investors. • Interviews applicants, accepts loan applications and underwrite loan requests. • Makes recommendations and presentations to various committees. • Monitors construction loans and collateral inspections. • Past due loan collections. • Project leadership in financial market and community. • Travel to customers’ locations, title companies, community events, etc. • Work effectively with colleagues.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Effectively prioritize, multi-task and work independently. • Strong understanding of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, and Adobe Pro.

NORMAL WORKING HOURS: • Monday – Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.
