Job DescriptionJob Description

The position available is structural engineer. The structural engineer will work within a design team to complete projects on time and on budget. The structural engineering position will entail the analysis and design of new and existing structures. Responsibilities include:

Review of architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing plans.

Develop code specified dead, live, snow and lateral loads to be applied to the structure.

Analysis and design of structure in accordance with the applicable design codes.

Provide design information and sketches to draft technician for the preparation of construction drawings.

Provide construction services, such as response to contractor’s questions, review of shop drawings and site visits to inspect progress of work.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor degree in Structural/Civil Engineering.

Taken and Passed FE/EIT (preferred)

(3) years minimum of structural design experience in steel, concrete, masonry and wood. (preferred)

Working knowledge of building design codes including ASCE-7, IBC and IRC.

Working knowledge of material design codes including AISC, ACI, Masonry and NDS.

Proficient in AutoCad, structural design software and MS office products.

Ability to communicate clearly through oral and written methods.
