We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who is an excellent problem solver, who is willing to roll up their sleeves to tackle any data challenge. In this role, you will work across the Nike Sports Research Lab to democratize data and equip our users with the tools to act on data-driven metrics. This role requires a passion for informational and operational data, platform infrastructure, simplifying operations, and technical depth. You will also serve as a bridge between the various stakeholders and communicate technical components of the data process to non-technical stakeholders and external audiences. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering and maintaining dashboard experiences, operational reports and analytics to inform data-driven decisions across the entire organization. You will create reports and provide recommendations based on the assimilation of diverse and disparate data sets. You have a passion for data while also effectively communicating complicated subjects concisely and coherently. You will be pivotal in helping us understand our athlete population, engagement outcomes, and operational efficiency. In addition, you should be able to work effectively with a variety of internal and external partners and be able to provide valuable expertise and insight regarding the requested data. What You'll Do: Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including automation of manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and tuning of application design to maximize the end-user dashboard experience Collect, record, sanitize, and analyze data using best-in-class practices and industry standard processes in an evolving data platform Work with disparate data pools by joining different data sets, creating relations, and synthesizing meaningful insights from data analyses and create easily interpretable data visualizations for key stakeholder consumption Develop tracking metrics to measure business success and apply predictive techniques to anticipate business needs Document requirements for ongoing platform improvements Understand and anticipate the data requirements of business partners to determine the best approach to effectively identify key performance indicators that are tracked over time and across locations Produce and automate weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting Balance competing requests with excellent time management Be resourceful to fill in gaps across roles and functions as needed, performing as an adaptive problem solver Integrate into a collaborative work environment that cultivates shared understanding, transparency, autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning Work collaboratively with diverse groups and communicate easily with both technical and non-technical audiences Provide input into study lifecycle management, support teams, and surface business need to continuously improve and enhance software products What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Science, Math, Economics, or other relevant field; 5+ years of experience in business reporting and data analytics OR Master’s degree in related field with 4+ years experience A passion for using data to improve impact to consumers across multiple products or platforms An entrepreneurial attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and flexible environment on multiple concurrent projects where team members are based in multiple locations. Project experience as a member of cross-functional, technical teams Curiosity and life-long learner attitude who can quickly learn and adjust to new software tools Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to query large disparate datasets and distill your findings into easy-to-understand analyses Ability to bring data to life through storytelling in a clear and meaningful way to audiences of mixed levels of technical expertise Strong problem-solving skills - being able to cut to the core of a problem, identify what needs to be done and work with the teams to get products launched. Proficient in SQL, Python, and interacting with APIs Demonstrable experience with predictive analytics including statistics, time series analysis, and other advanced predictive techniques Experience working with Tableau or other data visualization tools and a strong knowledge of Excel Airtable, Confluence, Jira, Google Analytics, Campaign Monitor and Miro boards experience a plus
