GP is often the first point of contact for patients seeking medical care, and plays a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide range of illnesses and health conditions. Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests as necessary for accurate diagnosis.Diagnosis and Treatment - Analyze medical test results and make informed diagnoses.Preventive Care - Promote preventive healthcare measures, including vaccinations, screenings, and lifestyle modifications.Chronic Disease Management - Manage and monitor patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.Emergency Care - Provide immediate care for acute medical conditions and emergencies.Record Keeping - Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records for each patient encounter.Collaboration and Referrals - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and allied health staff.Continuing Education - Complete state medical licensing dept. mandatory continuing medical education training as required.Community Outreach - Participate in company sponsored community outreach events.QualificationsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Required EducationMedical Doctor degree from an accredited institution.Required Experience4 plus years' experience in primary care.Required Licenses and CertificationsLicensure as a General Medicine Physician (MD/DO).Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment.The work schedule may include evenings and weekends to accommodate patient needs.Preferred QualificationsN/AFinancial ResponsibilitiesThis position does not currently handle physical money or negotiates contracts.N/ABudget ResponsibilitiesThis position does not have budget responsibilities.N/ALanguagesEnglishAdvancedSpanishPreferredCreolePreferredTravelRequiredFlexible to travel per business needs.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to work standing up, walk, use hands to operate tools and equipment and must be able to exert regularly up to 10 pounds of force, frequently exert 30 pounds of force and occasionally exert 50 pounds of force to constantly perform the essential job functions.
