Job Summary:

Objective Area Solutions (OAS) is seeking an experienced SharePoint Developer to enhance our team. Our ideal candidate will be proficient in data visualization and analytics, alongside expertise in web and content development. The selected individual will be instrumental in supporting a variety of database and SharePoint environments.

This position entails the continuous development, testing, and implementation of new functions and features for databases and websites within the aviation sector. The role plays a crucial part in supporting the Federal Aviation Administration with the vital task of ensuring the safety of 45,000 flights and 3 million passengers across more than 28 million miles of U.S. controlled airspace daily.

Key Responsibilities:

A successful candidate must have a minimum of 15 years applicant development and post-implementation support. The applicant must perform the following tasks using Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and Content Management Systems (CMS):
  • Develop code, test, implement, and maintain web based tools
  • Create, maintain, and update web content (e.g., life-cycle, maintenance, administration, management)
  • Perform quality assurance/quality control reviews before publishing content to FAA systems, as well as ensure that images meet 508 standards
  • Create and present web related documentation for users (e.g., privacy policies, security functionality, usability, accessibility, system designs)
  • Research, recommend, and implement website design and functionality improvements to meet current and future FAA website template and policy requirements for sites such as MyFAA, FAA.gov (e.g., latest hosted environment), and SharePoint/KSN;
  • Perform test preparation, including participation in peer reviews, test environment setup, identification of pre-conditions, and test plan documentation development and review
  • Ensure content meets accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG 2.0)
  • Create and provide graphic illustrations for FAA web sites
  • Develop workflow and ad-hoc reports and checklists to capture product status in support of accurate and on-time delivery.
  • Support the managing of analytic resources (e.g., databases, source documents, reporting) to develop data visualization artifacts
  • Develop and implement efficient, standardized data methodologies to support shaping and executing strategic and operational analyses associated with complex business problems, with bi-directional situational awareness
  • Apply standardized data input to authoritative data systems to perform advanced analytics in operational and business decision-making methodologies throughout a life cycle, to include development, statistical analysis, and simulations
  • Support requirements, development, deployment, and sustainment of Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities, and business analytics
  • Provide self-service BI reporting capabilities for users, multi-source complex data calls, ETL (Extract Transform and Load) strategies and implementation, business analysis, and data visualizations
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT Management, or other IT related degrees. Engineering, math, and science degrees are acceptable.
  • Experience supporting the FAA or other US Government clients
