We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network and Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Managed Services department, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure while ensuring the highest level of security. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in network architecture, security protocols, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex networking and security projects. Key Responsibilities Network Design and Implementation: Architect, design, and implement scalable and resilient network solutions. Deploy and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Ensure network availability, reliability, and performance meet or exceed business requirements. Security Infrastructure: Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to safeguard the organization's network and data. Conduct regular security assessments and audits, addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Firewall and VPN Management: Design, configure, and manage firewalls to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats. Implement and manage VPN solutions to provide secure remote access as per project requirements. Intrusion Detection and Prevention: Implement and manage intrusion detection and prevention systems to identify and mitigate security threats. Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Network Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance. Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future network needs and recommend enhancements. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other teams, including systems, applications, and infrastructure, to ensure seamless integration of network solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into network and security solutions. Incident Response and Recovery: Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures. Lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors as necessary. Security Awareness: Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices to continuously improve security posture. Experience And Education Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in network engineering and security roles. In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching. Expertise in security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs. Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent.
