The Construction Project Estimator will be a vital role and in addition to our management team, work duties will include preconstruction and hard bid estimating. • Assist with managing and updating a log of potential construction opportunities; including evaluations of projects to determine applicability to our core competencies
• Efficiently and accurately perform construction takeoffs, calculation, and assembly of data.
• Develop a cohesive estimate structure supported by achievable preliminary work plans.
• Communicate with and expand subcontractor & supplier database.
• Negotiates the best deal for the company, factoring in safety, cost, quality & diversity
• Evaluates risks & determines risk mitigation strategies
• Manage construction projects, clients & field supervisors
• Perform preliminary project scheduling activates & pre-job planning.

• Construction experience in the Civil Construction field including the ability to read and understand civil plans and specifications
• Fluent with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Experience with estimating software including HCSS Heavy Bid/ Heavy job
• Experience with construction plan take off software
• Strong written & verbal communication and people skills
• Solid time management skills & ability to self-motive to meet goals.
• Experience with DOT's and public agencies preferred
