Job Description: Our Houston client, a Top AmLaw international firm, seeks a mid-level associate to work in their Debt Finance practice. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in the structuring, documentation and negotiation of secured and unsecured financing transactions for both borrowers and lenders. Experience should include:

Senior secured, mezzanine and subordinated debt transactions

Acquisition financings

Loan workouts and restructurings

The debt finance practice primarily represents private equity funds, therefore, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with top attorneys and gain exceptional exposure within the industry.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Debt Finance practice

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong negotiation and documentation skills

Substantial experience working with secured and unsecured financing transactions

Proven track record of successful loan workouts and restructurings

Experience working with private equity funds beneficial but not required

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas or eligible for admission to the Texas bar
