Position Purpose

Provides logistical support to all customers moving products by trucks.

Primary Responsibility

  • Serve as point of contact for customers for movements requests, inquiries, and issues.
  • Create, manage, schedule, calculate, close and post all customer orders in internal and external systems. Potential movement responsibilities to include truck, rail, marine, pipeline, tank to tank, sampling, and other miscellaneous orders.
  • Ensures accuracy of customer orders and charges.
  • Analyzes inventory levels and movements to ensure acceptability and manage scheduling of movement requests.
  • Respond timely to all customer inquiries.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, safety, and management as needed regarding customer movements and inventory.
  • Maintain effective relationships with customers; work with customers to resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies with Shift Supervisor.
  • Review and troubleshoot Intervention transactions affecting inventory.
  • Perform quality review of each intervention packet prior to distribution to Operations.
  • Ensure activity planning to avoid interference with all modes of transportation and pipelines.
  • Expedite truck schedule to avoid demurrage claims.
  • Perform charge codes check upon completion of each activity to address any additional services performed in Operations.
  • Research documentation and data related to customer complaints.
  • Prepare training documents, scripts, and training plan for cross-training.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma/GED required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must have the ability to obtain a TWIC within 90-days of hire date
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred (Supply Chain, Logistics, Management, or Maritime Administration)
  • High analytical skills with ability to make sound recommendations and decisions
  • SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Order & Inventory management system
  • Minimum 2 years of Customer service experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, team-player
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
  • Decisions made without prior approval - Resolve movement conflicts with the on-call Operations personnel and management
