Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid the bidding process
  • Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to successfully deliver information
  • Maintain great client relationships in order to bid/win new heavy civil work
  • Attend weekly meetings in order to stay up to date on current project statuses
  • Ability to estimate multiple projects at once under given deadlines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Bachelor of Science (a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans
  • 3+ years full cycle estimating heavy civil projects including TXDOT from $1MM-$30MM+
  • Ability to adapt and problem solve through analytical thinking skills
  • HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software knowledge or similar software is preferred
