Job Title: Press Brake OperatorPay: $21.00 - $27.00/hrLocation: Clarence, NYJob Description:Aerotek is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team In this role, you will operate press brakes and related machinery to achieve production goals efficiently. Your responsibilities will include setting up and installing the appropriate tooling and fixtures, running first pieces to ensure conformity to specifications, and conducting inspections using precision measuring instruments.Key Responsibilities:Operate press brakes and associated machinery to meet production targets.Set up, preset, and install the correct tooling and fixtures for production runs.Run initial pieces and verify their conformance to drawings and specifications.Inspect all parts per process sheets and drawings using various precision measuring instruments, including coordinate measuring devices.Document inspection data and procedures to maintain compliance.Monitor tooling wear and replace tools as necessary.Ensure compliance with production processes by conducting regular checks and collaborating with Quality Control on in-process inspection requirements.Coordinate with programming teams to ensure accurate flat pattern layouts.Oversee machine maintenance, ensuring lubrication, guarding, and cleanliness are consistently upheld.Assist coworkers with processing, methods, and best practices to maximize efficiency.Monitor scrap and rework to minimize waste.Collaborate in the design of special tooling and fixtures as needed.Hard Skills Required:Proficiency in machine setup and 2-3 years of experience in press brake operations.Experience with tooling installation and maintenance.Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.Job Type:This is a permanent position on the 2nd shift.Work Environment:You will work in a machine shop environment where dust, grease, and metal shavings are common.
