Critical Job Responsibilities?

• 70% - Training fresh team members in respective departments, GIANT DIRECT, Instacart program?
• Department SOPs (quality, cleaning, sanitation, ordering, backroom management, production planning) - nailing the basics?
• Product knowledge | Customer service & engagement?
• New programs (SOPs) - Pilots | Click & Collect / GIANT Direct | CAO / HHO | Divert?
• Initiatives - Global Flavors program / tropical / organics / seasonal relevance / local?
• 10% - Monitoring and improving KPIs - sales, margin, shrink, NPS, assortment voids, program execution, safety stocks, production planning, labor efficiency, food safety (temp logs)?
• 10% - Resets / remodels / store openings within region?
• 10% - Launching new programs / pilots - Global flavors / PI / cut fruit program / production planning

Job Duties

Training fresh team members?

• Conduct store visits spending majority of time coaching and developing department staff to achieve business results?
• Coaching around how to run the department standards of practice (SOP's)?
• Provides in depth training classes?
• Specialized training for departments (i.e., initiatives, floral, Starbucks, prepared foods - new leads in the future)?
• Assist with coaching and developing a team of skilled Department Managers?
• Train and develop C&C & GIANT DIRECT selectors and Leads?
• Provide ongoing departmental expertise, direction, and training to Store Management and department staff

Monitoring and improving Regions KPIs?

• Collaborates with Sales Managers and Specialists to provide recommendations for building sales, developing talent, providing local feedback to teams, and creating a culture of selling ?
• Helps to drive Department KPIs and demonstrates best practices on how their respective departments should operate. ?
• Works with Sales Managers and Specialists to help deliver financial KPIs for the respective product area (Sales, Gross Margin, Unit movement, Shrink, NPS)?
• Problem solvers - Opportunity Store Identification and support of turnaround plan?
• Understand competitive landscape and market?
• Leverage in-depth knowledge and expertise of department to assist Sales Managers and Specialist with building sales, analyzing problems/issues, and identifying root cause of problems impacting stores related to sales.?

Resets / remodels / store openings within region?

• Provide insights for Category teams to developing category plans?
• 4-5-week involvement in process for new store and remodels?
• Work with store operations to set up stores - including physical labor?
• Help with execution of department set up?
• Communication to Sales Managers on format or display opportunities?
• Help with order and reviewing inventory of small wares and supplies?

Launching new programs / initiatives / pilots?

• Partners with Sales Managers and Specialists for the consistent execution of all merchandising programs and is responsible for the success and operational effectiveness of their respective department within the stores in their district. ?
• Program/Project implementation for assigned stores?
• Communication of feedback on initiatives and in-store opportunities to Sales Managers?
• Provide direction and support stores in delivering operational initiatives, customer service goals and labor productivity?

Additional Details?

• Trainers must be open and available to travel across the Region. May include occasional overnights.
