Position Description
FlexGen is seeking a talented and creative Videographer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality video content that highlights our products, services, and brand. The ideal candidate will storyboard, film, edit, and produce engaging video content tailored to our target audiences, including partners, clients, and internal teams. This dynamic position blends creative vision, technical expertise, and strategic storytelling.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to create compelling video content that showcases FlexGen's energy storage solutions.
- Plan, storyboard, and execute video projects, including promotional videos, product demos, corporate presentations, event coverage, and social media content.
- Operate professional video equipment, including DSLR, mirrorless, or cinema-grade cameras (e.g., Canon, Sony, Blackmagic, RED), with a strong understanding of exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and white balance for optimal footage quality.
- Apply lens selection knowledge to achieve desired framing and depth of field using wide-angle, telephoto, and prime lenses.
- Set up and manage lighting equipment, including softboxes, LED panels, ring lights, and natural light sources. Utilize advanced lighting techniques such as three-point lighting and color temperature adjustments to create mood and depth.
- Capture high-quality audio using various microphones (e.g., shotgun, lavalier, boom) and external audio recorders. Ensure clear sound by reducing background noise and optimizing audio settings.
- Edit video content using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, incorporating motion graphics and animations via After Effects or similar tools. Perform color correction and grading to enhance visual quality using LUTs and other tools.
- Optimize and manage video file formats (MP4, MOV, AVI) and codecs (H.264, ProRes) for distribution across platforms. Apply compression techniques to balance quality and file size efficiently.
- Employ strong storytelling and shot composition skills, using techniques like the rule of thirds, leading lines, and creative transitions. Enhance videos with cinematic techniques such as slow motion and time-lapse.
- Maintain and manage video equipment, ensuring proper cleaning, functionality, and safe transportation.
- Stay current with emerging video technologies, including 4K/8K video, 360-degree filming, drones, and VR/AR, and adopt new tools and techniques as needed.
- Manage video distribution and publishing across platforms, including websites, social media, and internal channels. Support live event streaming or webinar production as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in videography and video editing.
- Proven experience as a Videographer, with a strong portfolio of video production work.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
- Solid understanding of camera operations, lighting setups, audio capture, and post-production workflows.
- Strong storytelling and creative direction skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives through video.
- Familiarity with motion graphics, visual effects, and animation tools like Adobe After Effects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest or experience in energy storage, renewable energy, or technology industries is preferred.
