Patient Care Coordinator OBGYN

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is responsible for the direction and coordination of all clinical related functions in our clinic. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is the resource and preceptor for the clinical staff assisting with new hire orientation, ongoing clinical competencies, and educational needs. They are responsible for the overall quality of nursing care in the Women's Health clinics; decisions are made in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team following Standards of Nursing care, Human Resources and Mon Health policies and procedures. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will support the mission and vision of Mon Health System. The coordinator will work closely with the family birth center and is responsible for education, reporting and maintenance related to our baby friendly designation.
Education
Incumbent must be a graduate of a school of nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in women's health; leadership/management experience preferred. Continued demonstration of clinical and leadership competency. Commitment to understanding staffing matrix/acuity and productivity standards. Commitment to unit goals, patient safety initiatives, and positive patient experience/service excellence.
Must demonstrate good organizational skills, provide and support safe and appropriate patient care; Must utilize good judgment and superior problem-solving skills with positive and professional communication with internal and external patients, staff and providers.
Certifications/ Licensures
Must possess licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in WV. Must possess current BLS/ACLS certification. Specialty Certification preferred.
