Essential Job Responsibilities:

As a Product Manager at Tideworks, you will be part of a team dedicated to developing and delivering reliable terminal operating systems and making even the most radical ideas a value-driven reality. You will work to lead and support activities across product teams to develop and convey product vision, delivery end-to-end customer and client experience and manage the product lifecycle. This role will specifically work on our Billing product which will include integrations with IFS and other third-party ERP systems that our customers utilize.

The position works collaboratively with leadership, product team members and stakeholders, to serve as the expert of this product and guide and champion the development of the product to maximize results. You'll lead teams by promoting a self-organizing culture, with the goal of driving continued product success.

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Create and maintain the product strategy and production schedules, communicate the product vision to the Client Services team and champion the product to current and new clients.
  • Serve as the client advocate by articulating the user needs and working with Associate Product Managers to translate the needs into requirements for development.
  • Gather, manage, and prioritize client requirements to be leveraged in the development of the product and to meet needs.
  • Act as the product leader and subject matter expert for the product throughout the company and communicate product updates and status components to applicable teams, leadership, and clients.
  • Develop the business case and gathering data critical for new products and product improvements.
  • Analyze market and competition data to create and update product features that meet customer needs and align with market industry standards.
  • Ensure that the product features are compliant with requirements and/or restrictions.
  • Oversee the product through its lifecycle and tracks product performance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 4 or more years of relevant experience in Technology and/or in the management of products. This usually includes at least 1 year experience leading teams.
  • Experience with the principles of design thinking, and lean and agile software delivery.
  • Experience managing projects preferred.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management related to products a plus.
Key Knowledge, Skills Abilities:
  • Expertise in ERP systems with a focus on event-based billing processes resulting in a seamless data flow and improved operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of functional and conceptual technical matters and agile development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate across organizations to optimize outcomes.
  • Ability to surface, prioritize, and balance multiple stakeholder priorities.
  • Relationship building and collaboration skills across diverse and matrixed stakeholders and customers.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including experience leveraging data to inform decision making and independently solving software engineering problems.
  • Expertise in strategic thinking and strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated facilitation and influencing skills to drive decision making among stakeholders with diverse perspectives and priorities.
  • Demonstrated soft skills including collaboration, honesty, dependability, determination, and the ability to listen and show empathy for others.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing client needs, relate to others and understand different perspectives, and demonstrate patience.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop a story to bring the problem and solution together.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Work Environment:
  • Required hybrid office work schedule.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment, or remotely from home.
