Description
The Admission Specialist will be responsible for the intake process onsite at the facility, acting as a liaison between the remote admission team and the facility during the client intake process.
***This position is not remote***
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Liaise with client/family of potential admissions to address any questions, concerns, etc..
+ Interface with remote admissions team and on-site clinical team for necessary approvals
+ Plan for client arrival, including travel arrangements as applicable.
+ Supports arrival process including coordinating assessment/bed placement process, searches of client belongings/person for prohibited items.
+ Ensures intake paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and documentation is maintained as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
+ High-school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
+ 1 2 years of experience in a patient care environment in a substance use/behavioral health setting, is preferred.
+ Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, and an ability to use required computer program BestNotes, MedHost, and SalesForce.
