JOB REQUIREMENTS: WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking aCommodity Specialist in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This is a jobfamily position (Associate Commodity Specialist, Commodity Specialist,Senior Commodity Specialist) where expereince will be the determiningfactor. Job Summary The Commodity Specialist is responsible forestablishing and implementing procurement strategies for specificcommodity groups, managing day-to-day business unit/departmentrequirements, and establishing / managing contracts for specificcommodities or services. Works with others in Procurement and Logisticsto ensure that all requirements for materials and services are handledaccording to corporate and customer requirements. Job ResponsibilitiesProcurement of all materials and services within assigned commoditygroup(s), utilizing a variety of tools including eProcurement tools.Establish and apply a wide range of sourcing strategies to assignedcommodity groups. Work with clients to establish priorities and managedemand Establish and manage existing contracts with suppliers Qualifysuppliers Track supplier performance Prepare and lead negotiations withsuppliers Manage supplier transitions as part of contract implementationParticipate in cross-functional procurement teams Identify and implementprocess improvements Drive continuous improvement as part of contractmanagement process Actively seek and utilize MBE/WBE suppliers tosupport and achieve corporate goals Minimum Qualifications BachelorsDegree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline Aminimum of 2 years of related experience and demonstrated ability to:Perform sourcing functions and processes independently with minimaloversight from department leaders Lead procurement projects withsignificant scopes and value, including cross functional team managementand project management skills Prioritize work to meet the needs ofinternal clients Build effective relationships with peers, internalcustomers, and suppliers Identify and capture process improvement andcost reduction opportunities Organization and preparation skills to leadcomplex negotiations with suppliers End Date: 07/19/2024 We reserve theright to modify the application deadline or discontinue acceptingapplications for any position if deemed necessary.
