We offer over 40 programs and services to more than 140,000 children.Why choose us?You will be rewarded with benefits, including zero contribution health plan options, 401K plan, wellness programming, and generous paid time off.You will have the opportunity to represent a highly respected non-profit agency in Arizona.You will enjoy a supportive and collaborative work environment.Job title: Sr. Program Manager Language & LiteracyThe Sr Program Manager Language & Literacy will lead our literacy programs in the Professional Development & Training department, including Journey through Books, Reach Out and Read, Raising a Reader, and others.In this role you will:Lead program development, program efficiencies, and overall programmatic quality.Focus on programmatic development including relationship building, fundraising, grant writing, marketing.Builds and maintains linkages to appropriate community resources.Interfaces with program consultants, agency colleagues and community partners.Utilize programmatic data analysis and evaluation to build on program strengths and identify opportunities for programmatic development.Provides overall management and implementation of budgets and fiscal responsibilities.Participates in ongoing leadership development opportunities including agency workgroups and committees.What it takes:Bachelors degree in early childhood education (ECE), child development, or a closely related field required. Masters degree in early childhood education, child development or related field preferred.Effective time management and organizational skillsAt least five years of supervisory/program management experienceAdditional experience in and/or knowledge of: Training, coaching, or mentoring of adultsAdult learning theory and practicesChild development/early care and educationADHS/ADES child care regulationsIndicators of quality in early care and education settingCurriculum and assessment in early childhood settingsCommunity resourcesPrevious experience in collecting and analyzing data.Previous experience in program design and development.Current CPR/First Aid certificationPossess an insured & reliable vehicle and a valid AZ drivers license.Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card - OR - must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance CardSWHD takes the health and safety of our employees and the communities we serve very seriously.
