Phlebotomy - Phlebotomist II Position: Phlebotomy - Phlebotomist II Position Type: Full time Contract Location: Livonia MI 48152 (onsite) Duration: 5 months Shift/Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm 30 min lunch As Phlebotomy - Phlebotomist II you will be responsible for: Drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. Having direct contact with patients and creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner. Performing verification of patient demographic info/initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct. Maintaining required records and documentation. Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Required Medical Training: Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington. Work Experience: 3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience.
