The Financial Consultant is a unique position within Optum with primary responsibilities of working with operational and financial data for pricing of various Optum Insight products.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

Pricing support for OptumInsight Payer software and services product suite

Pull and manipulate operational and financial data

Maintain and enhance pricing models and templates

Effectively work with cross-functional teams that include Finance, Sales, Product and Operations

Develop a solid understanding of the business mission through effective interactions with upper management, and solid working relationships within and outside of Finance

Review customer contracts to ensure accuracy and risk minimization

Prepare financial analysis and present deal economics, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline

3+ years of data and / or financial analysis work experience

Experience presenting & making recommendations to leadership and internal partners

Experience working across a large and complex matrix of stakeholders

Experience adapting to an ever-changing environment and prioritizing deliverables

Experience analyzing complex data, making decisions and clearly articulating reasons for decision

Experience developing creative solutions to complex issues

Intermediate Proficiency with MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

Healthcare industry experience

Experience building financial models

Negotiation experience

Pricing experience with solid knowledge of financial concepts

Experience working with Sales teams

Experience with Salesforce.com

The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
