Responsibilities
The Director of Grants & Contracts Management will advise, assist, and work with our team of Accountants and Program Directors to provide financial management support including reviewing and analyzing budget submissions, post-award direct costs and performing account receivable functions for various sponsored projects.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Financial management over executed contracts/grants and amendments, budgets, expense codes, and other financial aspects as it relates to grants & contracts revenue and expenditures
Ensure all project expenditures are in compliance with applicable accounting procedures, contract/grant terms and conditions, and applicable regulatory rules and regulation
Oversee the preparation and submission of monthly invoices and file all required financial reports to federal, state and local sponsors.
Read, analyze, and interpret relevant contracts or grant awards for fiscal terms and conditions
Respond to common inquiries and/or concerns from project directors and support staff, regulatory agencies, and management
Reconciliation of project accounts, grant ledgers, accounts receivables and final close out of award
Conduct monthly financial meetings with project directors and their support staff to assist with project expenditure projections and to ensure financial compliance
Provide oversight, support, and assistance to the Senior Accountants in their daily duties
Manage Time and Effort Reporting
Participate in month-end close process
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Masters Degree preferred
At least 5-10 years of experience in fund accounting, finance, auditing, or analysis
Experience working with government or private funders on grants, contracts, or other agreements. Primary sponsors: HRSA, DPH, EEC, DMR, and BPHC
Strong oral and written communication skills
Skill in understanding and synthesizing financial data for communications
Proficient with MS Excel, Word and related office software
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines, while maintaining organization and attention to detail
Salary:
Expected range is $100,000 to $125,000 per year plus benefits
