Axletree Solutions Inc. seeks a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team and play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our critical IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including server management, virtualization, storage, backups, application support, and basic network administration. This is a hands-on, results-oriented position requiring a strong understanding of various technologies and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Duties & Responsibilities : Design, implement, and maintain physical and virtualized infrastructure components, including servers, and storage (SAN, NAS). Implement and manage VMware technologies to optimize resource utilization and agility. Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansions based on business needs. Install, configure, and maintain Windows, Linux, and IBM MQ servers, including the Site Recovery Manager (SRM) systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and high availability. Perform routine maintenance tasks like patching, updates, and resource monitoring. Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues promptly and effectively. Maintain server documentation for configuration, procedures, and best practices. Perform IBM MQ administration tasks, including configuration management, monitoring, and performance optimization. Manage and administer the Microsoft 365 suite, including SharePoint, Exchange, and other productivity tools, ensuring optimal performance and user experience. Ensure security best practices and compliance through infrastructure configuration, monitoring, and updates. Collaborate with application owners to address issues and optimize performance. Design, implement, and maintain robust backup and recovery solutions for virtual machines, NAS, and applications. Conduct regular backup tests and ensure data integrity and availability. Manage and optimize public cloud infrastructure across platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), including resource provisioning, configuration, security, and resource optimization. Collaborate with IT teams and external clients throughout the infrastructure lifecycle, delivering reliable and secure solutions that address requirements, from initial assessment to successful change implementation. Requirements & Skills : Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications/training/experience in information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure administration, with expertise in at least two of the following areas: Windows, Linux, VMware, SAN/NAS storage, IBM MQ Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy. Familiarity with infrastructure security best practices and frameworks. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with excellent analytical abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Professional certification (ex: MCSA/E, VCP-NV, CompTIA Server+, CDA, GSEC) (Preferred). Experience managing Public Cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) (Preferred).
