HIGHLIGHTS

FCS is currently expanding our team of Hematologist/Oncologist in our hospital settings throughout Florida. We re currently hiring a Board certified/eligible Hospitalist. This is an excellent full time hospitalist opportunity to join a dynamic team committed to providing superior patient and community centered care. The practicing physician will practice in Gainesville, FL. The physician will also work collaboratively with clinic physicians and patients. Gainesville is home to Florida's largest university, the University of Florida. Gainesville is centrally located with many attractions, popular for its cultural events, education, medicine, and athletics.

POSITION OVERVIEW
  • Team based setting with multidisciplinary approach
  • The schedule for this physician is Full- Time M-F 8a-4p
  • Inpatient consults at contracted community-based area hospitals
  • Responsibilities will include managing both malignant cancers, and benign hematology diagnosis
  • Opportunity to participate in research and clinical trials

REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum 1 year of inpatient clinical experience
  • Full unrestricted Florida MD/DO License
  • BC/BE in Hematology/Oncology
  • Rotating call may be required

In the past five years, many new cancer drugs approved for use in the U.S. were studied in clinical trials with FCS participation prior to approval. Often, FCS leads the nation in initiating research studies and offering ground-breaking new therapies to patients. Specialist has a large well regarded Oncology practice based in Florida with 33 sites of PET/CT services.
