Inventory Specialist - New Grads Welcome Pay Competitive Location: Hamilton, Ohio Employment Type: Full-Time Job Description Req#: INVEN006785 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ownership of the Inventory Storage, Handling, and Processing. Upload current inventory counts daily and coordinate the strategic placement of the inventory to reduce overprocessing waste. Perform inventory cycle counts. Supply shipping with IB shipment data relative to cost and placement location. Problem-solving capacity and deployment of 5S in the Shipping/Receiving areas. Determining an advanced placement of material and packaging for work centers. Scrap management. Manage Lift tags. Planning Support Cross-trains in material planning to provide backup. Oversees administrative functions within planning. Acts as Liaison between Planning and Operations. Operational Support Gathers data for the Gemba boards and is responsible for inventory action items associated with the Gemba process. Understands material flow lifecycle to each machine, from order generation to producing and shipping finished goods. General Operations system support. Product Development Leads efforts with customers and key suppliers to drive and participate in the development of new products to serve UPM, entering and expanding our breadth of products for related markets or a customer/OEM supply chain. Reporting and Communication Reports current and in-process activities. Submits timely sales/product call reports. Participates in weekly sales call-in meetings. Participates in preparation of presentations for sales, management, customers, and suppliers. QUALIFICATIONS Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Strong math/analytical skills. Effective communication skills. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE New graduates acceptable (minimum Associate College Degree) or 3+ years of experience in Inventory Management.
