AttainX, Inc. is in search of a highly energetic Senior Contracting and Acquisition Specialist with strong technical, communication skills and organizational skills to support our government client.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a business discipline or related field preferred.
Must have 8+ years of overall experience.
At least 3 years' acquisition experience with or supporting Civilian and/or DOD agencies.
Expert knowledge in pre-award contract support and post-award contract management.
Ability to simultaneously manage, coordinate and pursue multiple, complex projects and activities.
Extensive knowledge of the FAR and/or associated FAR supplements.
Acquisition planning, market research, and drafting technical requirements.
Knowledge of negotiation techniques and skill in devising negotiation strategies to deal with contractors in resolving such problems as reducing costs, adjusting delivery schedules, and negotiating in sole source environments.
Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the evaluation of contract proposals and knowledge of laws, regulations, agency policy, precedent cases, and other requirements that affect acquisition.
Preferred Qualifications:
Self-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts to a dynamic work environment
Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.
Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.

Contract Specialist, Acquisition Specialist
Job Duties:
Provide acquisition expertise including guidance and recommendations to identify, understand, analyze, articulate, and ensure compliance with acquisition/contracting regulations, guidelines, policies, processes and procedures.
Provide documentation support to Government personnel throughout all phases of the contracting life cycle to include preparation of procurement documents/ packages as required such as Requests for Information, Statement of Objectives, PWS, cost estimates, evaluation criteria, market research and analysis.
Support the development of contract acquisition strategies.
Support and ensure invoices meet contractual requirements for payment.
Support the development of comparative cost study analysis including assessments of schedule, cost benefit analyses consistent with Government standards and provide sufficient rationale for baseline and growth estimates.
Review financial products for adequate coverage and supportable conclusions regarding sound cost estimations, scheduling, and value.
Track and monitor all aspects of acquisition packages from initial planning to execution.
Provide assistance and support for post-award contract administration, management, and monitoring activities necessary to assist in managing contract activities with respect to deliverables, cost, schedule, and performance.
Support contract Quality Assurance (QA) activities to include identification of QA criteria, surveillance approaches, QA surveillance activities and checklists, and support Government staff in executing QA review and documentation.
Provide or support acquisition training activities to ensure contracting best practices
