SUMMARY:Works directly with Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) to process mortgage loans insuring the loan complies with Farmers National Bank's lending policy, secondary investor guidelines, and Federal and State Lending Regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Processing is defined by individually reviewing loan documents and ensuring the file meets the minimum requirements for a loan decision.
  • Ensuring compliance with Reg B, fair lending and any other mortgage lending regulations including Farmers Banks internal requirements and product profiles..
  • Coordinates and communicates with MLO to collect required documentation from clients.
  • Order Tax Transcripts, Verification of Income, and Undisclosed Debt Monitoring and Fraud Alert
  • Complete first Appraisal Review and initial Appraisal Checklist items. Then sends to underwriting for final review.
  • Reviews conditions submitted by the Mortgage Loan Originator and organizes documents in the loan file before sending to underwriting for review.
  • Manage pipeline to meet contract or rate expiration dates
  • Accountable for adhering to proper key controls developed within departmental processes or has notified the Processing and Closing Manager in writing of any exceptions.
  • Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate laws and regulations
  • Accept other responsibilities and projects as requested by management to add value for Farmers National Bank.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position
  • Complete all other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma (or GED) required
  • Bachelor's degree in a Business related field or minimum ofone (1) year of mortgage processing experience preferred
  • Minimum competencies required: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Communication Skills (Interpersonal, Verbal, Written, Presentations), Organization, Teamwork, Problem Solving, and Consultative Sales
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending functions
  • Ability to effectively use computer software and systems
  • Knowledge of banking mortgage regulations required including disclosure requirements
