Summary Under the direction of a licensed Nurse and with respect for human dignity delivers a variety of high quality, basic patient care services that meet the needs and uniqueness of our patients/visitors. Functions as a Patient Access Services Representative in addition to Emergency Care Tech. Responsible for registration of inpatient, outpatients, and emergency room patients. Conducts professional patient interviews obtaining demographic, financial, and biographical information. Responsible for cashier duties including the collection of patient co-pays at time of service in the Emergency Department, collecting estimated cost of service in outpatient areas, as well as receiving payments on patient accounts. Answers patient questions regarding estimate or outstanding balance and provides patient with payment options or offers Financial Clearance assistance. Responsible for the delivery of service excellence; and adheres to the PH Standards of Behavior. Education Must meet one of the following requirements: current CNA, EMT or Paramedic certification, or must take Parkviews Patient Care Foundations course at time of hire Experience Prefer one year minimum experience working in emergency services or patient care setting.
