Join our team as a Tile Setting Helper and work alongside experienced tile setters to master the art of tile installation. In this role, you'll assist with surface preparation, adhesive mixing, tile cutting and shaping, grouting, and ensuring high-quality installations. This position offers valuable on-the-job training and the opportunity to develop essential skills in tile setting.
Position Overview:
As a Tile Setter, you will be the expert in creating intricate mosaics, laying ceramic, and handling granite. Your key responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and installing tiles with both precision and style.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation: Assist in cleaning, leveling, and priming surfaces for tile installation.
- Mixing Adhesives: Learn to mix adhesives and mortars according to specifications.
- Layout Assistance: Help with the layout and measurement of tile installations, including marking guidelines and patterns.
- Tile Cutting: Cut, shape, and trim tiles using manual or mechanical tools.
- Tile Installation: Support the installation of tiles on various surfaces, maintaining proper alignment and spacing.
- Grouting & Sealing: Assist with grouting, caulking, and sealing tiles for a waterproof finish.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment.
- Tool Maintenance: Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Learn to interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with experienced tile setters and team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Driver Rotation: Participate in driving duties as needed.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in tile setting.
- Teamwork: Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Learning Attitude: Willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced professionals.

- Transportation: Reliable transportation and a valid NH driver's license are required.
- Mobile Device: Must have a mobile device for company communication.
- Overtime Availability: Willingness to work overtime as needed, including weekdays or weekends.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy materials and working in various positions.
- Kneeling: Ability to kneel for extended periods as required by flooring work.
- Strength: Must pass a medical exam, including the ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to chest height regularly.
