Lead a mission driven production team to meet or exceed organizational goals while creating an environment where people can be great at what they do and proud of what they have done while overseeing manufacturing processes to ensure the production of quality products in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure the safety of the team through requiring safe work practices, regularly discussing safety as a priority, and looking for opportunities to remove hazards. Fostering continuous improvement. Create, revise, and communicate production schedules and work hours to keep commitments made to customers, process orders efficiently, and establish and monitor inventory levels. Ensure adherence to our quality standards. Identify issues with quality and suggest improvements. Implement improvements with support from leadership. Lead and promote continual improvement initiatives for changes to processes, equipment, ergonomics, and environment. Execute action items as requested by leadership. Maintain an efficient work force by participating in the screening, interviewing, and selection of production employees. Coordinate training of the team to build skills and help people develop to their fullest potential. Provide on-going performance feedback to team members through formal and informal channels, including recognition of a job well done and regular performance evaluation. Resolve concerns from the team using Novae’s Guiding Questions. Facilitate daily management system huddle board reviews. Assist in other areas and perform other duties, as needed. Qualifications and Requirements Experience in manufacturing leadership, preferably within a heavy manufacturing and / or welding environment Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required, or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge, and abilities Proven experience in leading safety compliance and engagement Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Visual, and related software Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as interpersonal skills Demonstrated leadership skills Highly motivated, self-starter, ability to motivate direct reports Analytical thinking skills Proven experience with problem solving and conflict resolution
